Clear cached credentials windows 7 registry




















Infact I did go through your posts twice before posting this reply. One of the users in another forum had a similar issue issue that he cached wrong credentials. Infact he too tried most of these steps, but when he removed the credentials from the control panel and then when he used net use delete command, he was able to reenter the correct Logins.

I have network resources available over a VPN connection but Windows 7 will not use the credentials I have entered in credential manager nor does it prompt me for user credentials upon opening the resource.

I have tried the following:. None of these steps have done anything to resolve this issue. Please advise another solution to clear the mysteriously cached credentials I was testing a migration and needed cached credentials for logging on offline, or without a network connection, and then needed to clear them so I can test the program a number of times.

The following will clear all cached credentials but it does require a reboot. Keep in mind, my reply is for caching credentials on logon.
